Pros

  • Realistic action
  • Complete control of the team
  • Numerous teams and players in the league

Cons

  • Controls are hard to coordinate with movements
  • Coaching needs improved

See how you play the game of football with some of the best teams in the league and the best players of the sport.

You can start the game by selecting the team you want to work with, getting the team to the Super Bowl or by selecting a player who you mold and shape to get through his career. The game has a lot of action that you would expect to see in a live football game. Graphics are good with the later versions of the game as you can see more details on the players, more movements on the field and more details of the arenas.

The game is one that gives a lot of running, a few action shots on the field and the reality of what it takes to work with a football team. Even though the game has made many improvements over the past years, it's still a game that needs some work. The coaching staff just doesn't seem to have it together when it comes to making sure all of the players are working on the field as a team. When you're on the field as a player, it can be hard to get the controls just right to get the player to do what you want him to do with the ball. This has always been an issue with the game, and it doesn't seem to get any better. A benefit of the newer versions is that you can have complete control of the team. You get to choose what kind of uniforms the team has, how often they practice and even how much money each player makes, simulating the owning experience to the max.
